Over the past four years, Asia’s Gem- Asia’s Gaming and Entertainment plus Leisure Expo Manila has earned the recognition of being the country’s premier gaming and tourism event. This annual engagement has become the regular gathering of the world’s top personalities and key players in the main stream tourism entertainment and gaming related industries which brought continuous success through the combined efforts of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation and Euro-Asian preparation on Gaming, both under the outstanding leadership of Chairman Efraim Genuino, together with the Asian Gem Foundation and the active and dynamic participation of the exhibitors, delegates and guests.
Setting a theme to define the event’s main focus, like this year’s theme of “Strengthening Alliances: Rising Above Global Challenges,” Asia’s Gem aims to address national and international issues that could improve, develop and render solutions to the current situation of the gaming tourism and entertainment industry. The meeting of the brilliant mind is empowered in the 4-day activity filled with fun, bonding, interaction, intellectual sharing, discussions and marketing of products and services.
Given that this yearly event has been stable with it’s tried and tested schedule of activities, Asia’s Gem normally kicks off with an invitational golf tournament as it is designed in such a way that the local and international delegates are able to mingle and get connected. The invitational golf tournament is thought to be the perfect welcoming activity for that purpose where competitiveness, camaraderie and sportsmanship are manifested prior to the congress and the expo. This whole-day sports activity is usually followed by the more formal Congress proper, the Gaming Tourism and Investments Congress where the authorities in the world of gaming entertainment and tourism are invited to talk and tackle different subject matters that can either affect or improve gaming tourism in a micro and macro level of perspective. The climax of this event leads to the Summit of Leaders where alliances and strong business partnerships are formed among the heads of global gaming and tourism industries. This day is concluded with a sparkling welcome dinner, filled with sumptuous food and total entertainment. While the much awaited grand opening of Asia’s Gem is commonly celebrated on the third day of the event where the vast number of surprises and world-class entertainment at its best are set to encompass any expectations, it is also fashioned to formally commence the overture of the 2-day exhibit, which showcase nothing but the latest, most high-tech and innovative gaming machines, services and newly developed tourism investments and destinations. The start of various gaming competitions and tournaments also take place on this day. The final activity to wrap up the four-day events is the gala appreciation cocktails where awards and recognitions are given to the winners of each tournament and charitable institution beneficiaries of Asia’s Gem. An all-out party and celebration puts the icing on the cake to our delegates a gaming and entertainment expo worth remembering and attending for another day.
