The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is a 100 percent government-owned and controlled corporation created in 1977 by virtue of Presidential Decree 1067-A and was amended to PD 1869 on July 11, 1983 . It was created with a three-pronged mandate: to regulate all games of chance, particularly casino gaming in the country, to raise funds for the governments' socio-civic and national developmental efforts, and to help boost the country's tourism industry.

       PAGCOR currently operates 13 Casino Filipino branches in major cities aside from slot machine arcades and Casino Filipino VIP clubs.

       Five of Casino Filipino branches are located in Metro Manila, namely: at the Manila Pavilion , the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City, the Provident Resources International Complex in Parañaque City & the Hyatt Hotel and Casino in Pedro Gil. On the other hand, two casinos are found in Cebu, the Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino fronting Mactan International Airport and the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, in Lahug.

       The province of Angeles, meanwhile, is home to two Casino Filipino branches, one along McArthur Highway in Balibago and another inside the Mimosa Leisure Estate in Clarkfield. PAGCOR has one casino each in the cities of Laoag (Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel), Olongapo, Tagaytay (SM Tourism Estate across Taal Vista Hotel), Davao (Grand Regal Hotel), and Bacolod (Casino Filipino Hotel).

       Casino Filipino branches offer internationally recognized games like Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Big & Small, Pai Gow Poker, Stud Poker, Pontoon, Super 6 and slot machines.

       PAGCOR has expanded its operations to include the conduct and regulation of Bingo games.
